First thank you Bryce Hall for always emailing me the results to post on DTR..you ROCK!
I am going to use a term Jed Clampett from Beverly Hillbillies always said "Wheeew Doggies!" Talk about some racing tonight at Salina. Yes there was an UNUSUAL AMOUNT of wrecks tonight but I would have to say it was still some great racing.
We actually sat on the grandstand side for the first time this year so we could visit with some friends on their first time to Salina, Rodney, Heidi & girls Pace, Jerome Heinrich, Dale & Brenda Pace it was so good to hang out with you all .. I have missed your smiling faces and your enthusiam for racing. With the Flores Family sitting below us and yes I finally got to meet Hatchie Mann (that was pretty awesome to put the face to the name). How awesome ... the bathrooms on the grandstand side are air conditioned..too cool... with over 3000 people in the stands to watch the races tonight was an added bonus.
Here are the results from tonights racing. The track was pretty fast and slick (so glassed over I bet you could see your reflection). I would say a majority of the wrecks were the track changed a great deal from heats to features tonight.
Lots of good racing. Several races came down to the end again this week. Unfortunately there were some hard crashes tonight though, 4 or 5 red flag situations. The Modified race was action-packed with a lot of rough and crazy driving as well.
Car count: PS=12 FS=7 GN=16 360 Mod=13 Mod=25 Sprints=28 Total=101 The first triple digit car count of the season!!!

It was great to see Ricky back out on the track and I bet he will get it figured out pretty quick and will be out in front before long.

It was great to see Jeff Metcalf 17M, John Turner 3T out there.. Jeff looked pretty good out there and would have been a top competitor but with a little help he took it off to the pits on I think lap 13!

1st (38F Jeran Frailey) 2nd (63 Keith Campbell) 3rd (5 Justin Shoemaker) 4th (1T Ryan Taylor) 5th (57R Matt Rhine)
Randy Payne made his appearance tonight as well. He was getting the hang of the track and had he not spun out in turn 3-4 he would have been a top runner for sure.

OMG.. 25 Mods started this race which is awesome on this big track but seemed like the A Mods were having a crash fest tonight...
Great to see Melvin Pilcher, Brian Williams out there trying to give the class a run for the money.

If you weren't at SHBS tonight you missed some of the best action packed racing with OCRS. Hats off to Barry Grabel for having such a great show for the fans to enjoy.
There were actually 102 cars signed in but one had mech issues in the E Mod class before unloading the car so he scratched for the rest of the night.
